Mental Health PH has started a twitter initiative of #RecoverTogether. They released a calendar of activities we, albeit in quarantine, can do to… well, #RecoverTogether.

As a writing prompt, I have decided to keep a diary of me trying to do the activities. This blog wasn’t exactly meant for this, but then, our whole lives have been turned upside down so I’m just trying to regain some normalcy here.

If you’re reading this, you likely know who I am, but just in case you do not: I’m L. I’m a rheumatologist and currently a grad student of Health Informatics. I’m a language enthusiast, formally studied Japanese before taking a leave for grad school, and self studied the Korean alphabet because I’m also a kdrama fan. I’m currently at home, avoiding going outside because my parents are elderly. I don’t have a lot of patients in my small hospital, as I have taken some steps for less clinic hours. (We can talk about that situation another time) But for the patients that I do have, the regular ones I have kept track in my special patient phone, and my EMR provider is making some upgrades so that our chronic patients won’t feel abandoned. I hate the internet in general apart from Twitter, maybe. I was anti-social media before a chance lecture attendance. I’m still paranoid AF though.

I’m in the process of doing the first activity. It’s a little more challenging than I thought. For now, methinks my most important duty of the day is making sure my sister has breakfast before the starts her firm’s work from home.

Let’s #RecoverTogether!
